“This piece was inspired by a reference photo I saw in the news, It really spoke to me because it showed the same situation I, and thousands of other seniors are in. The concept is: a senior, whether in high school or college, in a cap and gown with a mask and some toilet paper.

The red and black ominous background was made to create a feeling of loss and uncertainty.

This piece took more than 3 days of planning, sketching, hard-lining, and finally painting. This piece is really emotional for me due to the events of COVID-19.

I put in a lot of detail to attempt to show my emotions at this time.”
